[ Revelations route! Let's say sometime during the game, and Kiragi's just re-classed over to becoming a small but mighty Kinshi Knight, and clearly the first thing that he's got to do is introduce his new kinshi friend to his father. ]

Dad, here is she is! Kyoko, say hi.

[ And that sure is an oversized bird screeching at you, Takumi. That's... cute? At least, Kiragi seems to think it's cute. ]

[Takumi knows a decent amount about Kinshi, though he's never spent any real time as a Kinshi Knight himself.

Not enough to not be slightly started by the screaming bird. His son a mass murderer of bears, he shouldn't be surprised that no animal really scares him]

[ He sure did teach his oversized chicken of a steed to stand on one foot to shake claws, and... probably no normal human being actually wants to shake claws with a kinshi. ]

Don't worry, she's super gentle! When she's not on the battlefield, at least.

[A Kinshi's job was to counter Nohrian Wyverns- to defend their rider if a vital shot missed and the other mounted unit got into that deadly melee range. To tear out eyes, ruin wings if it could. A good Kinshi SHOULD be a little bloodthirsty, and maybe even a bit insane.

Not an animal you'd want anywhere near your bow hand with those talons. But it's Kiragi- he can't say no. So Takumi carefully takes the bird's claw to shake. Carefully]

[Typical Corrin. It's been two years since the end of the whole...mess with Valla and Corrin had been pushing for a big reunion ever since. Eventually, as with everything, Corrin got their way.

It's not a complete one, since Odin, Laslow, and Selena had gone off who knows where, leaving only notes that said an emergency had cropped up in their homeland, but it was a complete a reunion as they could get. They'd even managed to track down Keaton (who had been lost in Hoshido and only found because Arthur had stumbled across him running from some angry kinshis after pissing them off on a trip with Elise to visit Sakura). The new royal palace of Valla was packed.

And Leo is exhausted. Not in a physical sense, but Leo's never been one for parties. He'll go and be social and is well known as the more charming Nohrian prince (simply because he doesn't scare everyone like Xander does), but Leo is not fond of crowds in the slightest. He's just really good at faking.

As soon as it's feasible, Leo asks Niles to divert anyone looking for him while he goes and finds a quiet spot to recover for a bit. The palace is lit even this late at night, and thankfully it's not hard to find a little room just off the main ballroom to rest in.

There's even books. Corrin must have known.]

[It's another way they are similar, though Takumi lacked Leo's ability to fake charm. No, he was much more apt to hide from social gatherings if he could manage it entirely. Even making excuses or fake disasters if he could.

But he's a grown man now, so he can't do that. And well, the army is different from political figures so it's not as bad as it could have been. Still, soon he ducks into the same room with a groan, resting his head against the door and not even noticing Leo is there just yet. Technically he isn't looking for Leo, so maybe that's how he managed it. Or maybe Niles is a right bastard.]

[Leo looks up from the book he was reading, surprised to see someone else in here]

[He jolts slightly, like Leo shot him, turning quickly before relaxing a bit]

Oh, Prince Leo... sorry for the intrusion.

[His ears go a little red, embarrassed at being caught hiding]

[He nods, and seeing as Leo doesn't seem put off by his company he comes further in and takes a seat, pulling over the books Leo hasn't already claimed]

They are. I've never seen the point of them. But it makes Corrin happy so...

I've always been the face of the family, so I'm used to them. I just don't like them.

[He chuckles a little]

But it does make Corrin happy. And Elise, who can never get enough of parties.

[Hinata grins as he catches up to Takumi while they're walking to the cafeteria for lunch. Looking at him and holding his homework and book in his arms.]

Hey, are you going to help me out with my English assignment? I really need your help!

[ That's probably why Kiragi's taken so quickly to his kinshi steed, because he's also adorable and yet so casually bloodthirsty... ]

She can also spin on command and give kisses!

I'm not surprised. She seems the type. Sakura... not as much, but I did see your sister leading her around, so who knows?

As soon as she realizes she's wearing Princess Sakura out, Elise will no doubt find a place for her to hide.

Not that I mind sleeping here of course, but I doubt I would manage any actual sleep.

I've fallen asleep in stranger places, but Niles usually finds me and gets me to bed before I have a stiff neck in the morning.

[He freezes, thinking about Niles at a slumber party]

He could teach a few other people some colorful language.

[Yes he totally heard about Elise picking up some words, or at least the story mutated through multiple tellings through various people]

He only swears when he's angry or drunk. It's...everything else that's the problem. But he's loyal, so I can't really complain. He hasn't harassed you, has he?

Not... more so then anyone else? Though I've had my share of... comments.

[Not that he's noticed at least. Not that he's had much face to face interactions with the man- but Takumi isn't foolish enough to think he isn't watching him anytime he's visited. He wouldn't be worth his salt as a retainer if he wasn't]
