Open callout post for murdergame!Oersted
All threads for generic murdergame!au Oersted are housed here. Open to weekly day to day threads, alternate trials and post revival hijinks! Just note the time frame in the topper. Also open to plotting here.
For Oersted and ayone else who wants him.
Of how most of those here are civilians. Innocents that aren't part of the world he's in. Maybe some had a drug habit they're hiding or a few skeletons in the closet but most were acting out of fear. Out of a desperation that was foreign in their world.
Not that it had stopped him from reacting with anger every time a murder happened. Harsh words that were soon replaced by guilt as soon as everyone had left. A firm hand on one of the weaker one's shoulders, tightly clutching enough that they said it hurt.
Wei stops his onslaught on the punching bag just for a moment, wiping away sweat from his eyes.]
Shit...
[He murmurs the word to himself. He thought he knew how bad humans could treat each other but this.. this was something entirely different. He lifts his head slightly.]
Hey, someone there?

[Oersted was from some far past fantasy world- but regardless he was a solider. So while the madness of this place affected him just like it did anyone else he managed to keep a steady head]
no subject
Shit, man... You surprised me.

[He walks in, placing his hand on the punching bag]
no subject
[The bag shifts a little but Wei doesn't hit it again.]
For now.
no subject
[He puts his other hand on it]
Would having someone hold it help? Having a little weight behind a hit is always better.
no subject
[He nods.]
Just don't cry, alright?
[Wei slams the punching bag with a quick jab and then follows it up with a more heavy strike.]
no subject
Oh? Was I supposed to cry?
no subject
Don't know--some do, some don't. Doesn't matter to me in the end.
[He backs up a little and then gives a quick jump, kicking the bag almost in the center.]
You know?
no subject
Still, he keeps the bag steady]
Yeah. I know.
[And he does. And here there is much more crying then he's even seen in battle]
no subject
Most of us here don't. [He just punches the bag this time, punctuating his words.] Can't blame 'em, though.
[Even as he huffs for breath there's worry in his words.]

There's a saying in my kingdom. That 'the purest souls make the cruelest demons.' When a innocent person breaks it is always worse then when the same thing happens to someone who has already seen evil.
I'm worried that is exactly our captor's intention.

I'm no soldier. The boys back home would get a laugh at that. [His smile is dry and humorless.] It's a true saying, though. Grief... grief can change a person.
[The gruff old Mrs. Chu was always a tough woman but after the wedding, well. Wei shakes his head.] If that's his intent he really better prepare himself. The anger of one person is bad enough but this many? There won't be any left of him to find.
no subject
[He smiles slightly, but doesn't argue his point further then that]
It's getting to him that's the problem.
no subject
[He can just hear Jackie laughing at him.]
No one can hide forever.
no subject
[He frowns, lost in thought. Even if they did find him eventually... it wouldn't matter if those that were left were too few or too weak to do anything about it.
But he's not going to say that outright]
The sooner the better.
